| Oh my gosh everybody, yesterday (( the 4th of July)) was like… one of the best 4th of July's ever!! Well first, I had to be at the Del Mar Fair at 10:30 for a show with the twirlers from Oceanside (not all the best twirlers in the world “/ but its all good) well I did the song “American Woman” by Lenny Kravitz because my song had to be patriotic, and I got to make that routine up myself, and it was soooooooooooooooo fun!!!! One of my fav routines now. Then we went over to the RB parade and guess what!!! I was with the band!!!!! That was the most exciting thing in the world!!! I cannot explain how much fun I had! I wore my BRAND NEW BRONCO BLUE COSTUME with a bunch of sparklie rhinestones that was super duper shiney!! I love it soo much! It has about $65 worth of rhinestones on it (300). And the material was super sparklie too! So I figured, even if I drop a lot, my costume will still be pretty! EXCEPT! The costume hooks on each side of the neck, and it came undone like… 3 TIMES!! It was sooo embarrassing cuz once, I couldn’t get it back on by myself, so one of the ladies walking along the band helped me, but it was hard cuz we had to keep walking fast or else we would have gotten ran over by the color guard and band! But we got it back on. So anyways, I really really REALLY hope Mr. Cole lets me twirl with the band again (put in a good word for me *wink* I was in front of the RANCHO BERNARDO banner all by myself. I was really nervous and my hands were sooooo sweaty. But I had a lot of fun. AND!!! GRACIE AND KELCY MADE ME A SIGN!! It said “twirl jen twirl”!! it was soooooo cute and I was soooo excited! And when I got towards where grace and kelcy were sitting, they told me to look down, and in BIG letters on the street was “twirl jen twirl!” omgosh I love them so much!! Thanks girlies!! And everyone was surprised we had a majorette. Whoo fun times. THEN~~~!!!!! We had the fireworks show at grape day park in Escondido, and the first number was YMCA (we always do that one and we always do the same thing, same song, always first) then was big butted girl (Madeleine) did simply irrisistable (very cute) then was stars and stripes (with the little cute girls) then Jesse did her solo (it was sooooo good!!) then was me and meghan doing TOXIC. I did one baton for the first part, then as I went into 2 baton meghan came in with her knives and she cut a watermelon. And I did two and three baton. And the music was messed up and I didn’t know when to end, so I just ended. Its all good. Then some other numbers with the little girls, then it was jock jams. It was ok. I don’t really remember a lot about it. So it must have been fine. Then star wars was a disaster cuz the music was MAJORLY MAJOR messed up and EVERYONE was off. It made jesse and I wanna cry and I felt REALLY bad for jesse cuz she worked soooo hard for us and it didn’t exactly turn out how she expected it. And so JESSE IM SORRY!! I LOVE YOU GIRL! YOU DID AN UNBELEIVEABLY GOOD JOB THIS YEAR!!! GOOD LUCK IN COLLEGE! WE WILL MISS YOU!!! Next we had fire and that was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got to do a toss illusion with fire along with Madeleine, and we both caught it, and it looked really REALLY good!! That was the funnest routine of the day. then after that we went around and handed out fliers (with INGRID!!) and that was fun. I wore my crown and banner and asked for donations to send me to Nationals (cuz its sooo friggin much!) and so… well…. Heres some things that happened:
- got my picture RANDOMLY taken by RANDOM people I don’t know
- one kid asked me if I had a pen, and im like… “uhh no sorry” and hes like, “oh, cuz I wanted you to sign my shirt” and I was like… awww!!!
- One kid asked for a kiss (so I blew him one)
- Omgosh funny story!!:
This one guy walked up to me and asked me if I was Miss Escondido, and I said “ no, im miss majorette of California” and hes like… “oh…………..” and he stood there for like.. a long time staring at my sash. Then hes like “ummm…. I gotta go” then me and Ingrid looked at each other cuz he was really freaky. Then this one girl walks up to him and grabs him by the arm and yells back at us and says “ DON’T TALK TO HIM, HES GOT A GIRLFRIEND!!” and we were like… uhhh… he talked to us first.

- this one group of people growled at us
- hmm… other stuff happened but I forgot. But last night I realized how many little girls look up to me. And it made me feel really good.
AND! Then for the fireworks, Madeleine introduced us to her friend TRAVIS(very cute). I slept with his picture once at Madeleine’s house when she tried to kill me with her cats. And so us 4 (me, Ingrid, Madeleine and travis) all watched the fireworks while standing up. And I think we were a little to close cuz the ash kept falling on us. And it burned. For this fourth of july Ingrid and I were supposed to have guy friends come and watch us perform, and we were like… counting down the days for a LOOOOONNNG time!! Since like… December. And guess what, neither of us had guys. So we made a deal. My deal with Madeleine (she made it up) was that she’d give me $2 if I brought an asain guy that I knew for longer than 2 weeks, $1 for a half asain guy, and $5 if I got her friend Ricky, who already has a girlfriend. She likes to make fun of my asianness. I have no idea why. But its all good. So any azn guy wanna go to the 4th of july with me next year??? I’ll split the $2 with you. PLEASE??? No henry…. Not you.
Well… that was my 4th of july! If I forgot some highlight, I’ll add it in later when I remember. I hope everyone had a HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!! And don’t forget to tell Mr. Cole that I should stay with the band!! Luv ya’ll
